What is now Taylor Contract Hardware, Inc. was founded in 1959 in Tampa by Dick Taylor, A.H.C. and Lon Cotton, A.H.C. as Taylor & Cotton, Inc. The company prospered in the 60’s and 70’s spawning other companies bearing the Taylor and Cotton name in Orlando, Gainesville, Jacksonville, Ft. Myers and West Palm Beach. Lon Cotton retired in 1992 and Dick Taylor changed the name of his company to Taylor Contract Hardware, Inc. and worked at the office daily until his retirement in 2009 at the age of 81.

In true Taylor and Cotton tradition, Dick Taylor has passed the torch to the next generation. Lance Lanciano, the new owner of the firm will continue the 50 years of service to Architects and Contractors well into the future.

Taylor Contract Hardware, Inc. continues to provide consulting and specification writing services for the Architects of the area, as well as supplying the finest Finish Hardware, Architectural Wood Doors and custom Hollow Metal to Contractors and Construction Managers throughout the State of Florida.
